UAE: Insurer uses AI to eliminate medical exams in life insurance underwriting

Dubai-headquartered Sukoon Insurance has launched a new AI-powered face-scanning feature for life insurance underwriting used to onboard new life insurance customers.

The new process eliminate the need for costly and time-consuming medical examinations while applying for life insurance, making the whole process faster and simpler.

The company has partnered with One Call, a technology solutions provider for the life and health insurance sector. The innovative technology is integrated into the insurance provider’s existing videoconferencing system and analyses a short video of the applicant’s face to measure health metrics like heart rate, blood pressure and respiration rate.
