Bahrain will host the 36th General Conference of the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF) in 2028, followed by Morocco for the 37th edition in 2030.
This news was announced by the new GAIF Chairman, Engineer Majed Smairat, during a media briefing concluding the GAIF35 gathering yesterday. He is also the Chairman of the Jordan Insurance Federation (JIF).
Mr Essam Al Ansari, a Board Member of the Bahrain Insurance Association (BIA), in remarks delivered on behalf of the BIA Chairman and Board Members, expressed his pride at the confidence placed by the GAIF in Bahrain to host the 36th General Conference in 2028.
Mr Al Ansari affirmed Bahrain’s readiness to host the biennial event, citing its advanced infrastructure, expertise and extensive experience in organising major events and conferences. The last time Bahrain hosted the GAIF General Conference was in 2008.
