Osama Noor is the MENA Representative for the Singapore-based magazine Middle East Insurance Review (MIR). He has been working with MIR since November 2006.
He is responsible for covering the regional insurance markets, conducting interviews and research, and building a strong network of relationships with industry leaders and professionals.
Prior to joining MIR, he worked for around 11 years in the insurance industry in Palestine starting with Arab Insurance Establishment (AIE) as a motor underwriting officer until he became a branch manager in Bethlehem. He represented the company in several subcommittees to handle market problems such as pricing and motor underwriting committees.
During that period, he also served as a branch manager with National Insurance Co (NIC). He was responsible for monitoring the company’s market share and expanding it by improving levels of services and responding to market needs in terms of new services and products. He also was in charge of following up with claims settlements, marketing activities, building public relations, and handling HR within the branch.
Osama Noor graduated from Jordan University in 1991 with a High Diploma in Healthcare Administration. He also holds a BA in Business Administration from Yarmouk University.
He is a native Arabic speaker and speaks and writes fluent English.
