Allianz Partners, a world leader in insurance and assistance services, has announced a new strategic reinsurance relationship with Al Koot Insurance, Qatar's leading medical insurance provider.
From 1 November 2026, the Health line of Allianz Partners will transition its business in Qatar from a direct operating model to a reinsurance model, with Al Koot Insurance offering international private medical insurance (IPMI).
The reinsurance relationship will combine Allianz Partners’ global expertise with Al Koot Insurance’s local market knowledge and the state-of-the-art systems of Nextcare, Allianz Partner’s subsidiary in the MEA region. The collaboration will support both existing international business and Qatar’s growing domestic health insurance market, while demonstrating a shared commitment to sector development and regulatory readiness.
Speaking about the partnership, Mr Okan Ozdemir, Chief Officer for Health at Allianz Partners, said,“This agreement supports our long-term strategy in Qatar and ensures we continue to provide a full and comprehensive service to our customers as the market evolves. Allianz Partners and Al Koot Insurance are committed to a smooth transition and uninterrupted service, providing high-quality health protection throughout.”
