The Tunisian Federation of Insurance Companies (FTUSA) has launched an information system to help users determine the sale prices of new or used cars, according to the federation's executive director, Mr Hatem Amira.
In an interview with TAP Agency, Mr Amira added that the federation aims through the system to enable insurance companies and their agencies to refer to real prices of cars, both when selling a motor insurance policy and when handling claims. The system offers more transparency and aims to curb practices to inflate or minimise the price of an insured car, he said.
This project is part of the insurance sector's ongoing digitalisation efforts that are aimed at improving the quality of insurance services.
Mr Amira added the FTUSA had earlier implemented an online exchange system to manage motor accident claims.
“FTUSA continues to work to modernise its services and meet the growing needs of customers,” Mr Amira said. The federation is currently working on several other online insurance projects.
