Egypt:Big potential for medical insurance but operators need to amend strategies

Healthcare spending in Egypt is projected to be almost EGP80 billion (US$10.5 billion), or around 3% of GDP, in 2016-2017 according to Dr Mohamed Maait, the First Assistant to the Minister of Health & Population. The figure would represent an increase of 67% from EGP48 billion at present.
