The Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority (SDDK) has announced the establishment of a Joint Claims Notification Centre (OHIM).
The centre, which will become operational on 1 September 2026, will accept damage claims related to traffic and comprehensive car insurance in its initial phase. It enables citizens to easily and quickly submit their damage reports through a single centre.
The establishment of the centre is part of an action plan to minimise depreciation disputes under compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (traffic insurance) and stem abuses related to these disputes
Before opening OHIM, the SEDDK completed preparatory work which included standardising the depreciation calculation method and instituting an assignment system for loss adjusters.
