Nevis-based Omnia Re and Mauritius-headquartered Neema Insurance Managing Agency have announced a strategic partnership aimed at expanding access to specialist reinsurance solutions across Africa and other emerging markets.
The partnership combines Omnia Re's international reinsurance capacity with Neema's regional expertise, technical underwriting capabilities and growing presence across key emerging markets.
The collaboration will provide brokers, insurers and cedants with enhanced access to specialist reinsurance support across a broad range of classes, according to a statement released by Neema.
Under the agreement, Neema is appointed by Omnia Re as its sole underwriting partner for all African cedants and risks, providing a unique platform through which the market can access Omnia Re's capacity and underwriting expertise.
Neema has also been given capacity to underwrite risks on behalf of Omnia Re from other territories, including certain countries in Asia, the Middle East, North America and South America.
By combining local market knowledge with global reinsurance expertise, the partnership will support the development of sustainable underwriting portfolios and provide flexible risk transfer solutions tailored to the evolving needs of emerging markets.
Neema's expanding footprint across Africa, together with its established broker relationships and technical capabilities, positions the business to meet growing demand for specialist reinsurance capacity throughout the region.
