UAE: Dental market lacks pricing transparency and quote logic, report finds

Source: Middle East Insurance Review | Aug 2026

While dental treatment prices are widely visible online in Dubai, the underlying logic behind those quotes remains chronically unclear to patients, according to a new study by specialised dental guidance platform LumiQuest Dental Circle.

LumiQuest audited 135 public dental price indicators across nine major treatment categories in the emirate. The study evaluated how effectively online pricing pages explain final costs, inclusions, exclusions, and quote variables.

The report emphasises that unclear quotes negatively impact both self-paying and insured patients. Simply stating “Insurance accepted” or displaying a low starting price rarely clarifies a patient’s ultimate out-of-pocket liabilities, nor does it detail potential post-examination cost adjustments.

“Public dental prices are only useful when patients understand what the figure actually covers,” said Dr Joe Feghali, orthodontist and founder of LumiQuest. “A headline price often fails to disclose whether essential diagnostics, materials, follow-up care, or required secondary procedures are included.” M
