The policyholders should be able to pay the premium irrespective of the employment status. The agent should encourage the prospect to understand and decide the sum insured and the premium and the policy is given. In such a scenario, the policyholder will be continuing instead of non-renewal of the policies. The agents in their anxiety to sell for higher sum insured to reach their targets, suggest the sum insured based on the present income which should be discouraged.
