Algeria:CAAT posts steady growth in 2025

State-owned Compagnie Algerienne des Assurances (CAAT or Algerian Insurance Company) closed the 2025 financial year with a net profit of DZD1.12bn ($8.4m).

In comparison, net profits amounted to FCFA837.8m in 2024.

The 2025 net profit was achieved on the back of a turnover of DZD30.54bn, up by 2% compared to 2024, reported by Algeria Press Service.

Claims backlog

CAAT, reportedly the second biggest non-life insurer in Algeria, paid DZD15.88bn in compensation to insured parties, comprising payouts for 50% of claims filed in 2025 and 42% of cases lodged in previous years and pending compensation.
