Qatar's central bank has issued the country's first licence for an insurance policy price comparison website, marking a further step in its efforts to expand the FinTech sector.
In a post on X, the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) said it had granted the licence to Ammen, allowing the company to operate insurance price comparison website services in Qatar.
The central bank said the move forms part of its strategy to strengthen the country's FinTech ecosystem.
