Aon has appointed Mr Mike Reid as EMEA CEO of Facultative Reinsurance, effective 1 July 2026.
In his new role, Mr Reid will continue to deliver solutions that help shape better capital decisions for clients.
Mr Reid brings nearly 30 years of experience across the insurance industry and has led underwriting teams and portfolios across UK commercial insurance as well as international wholesale and specialty lines. He joins Aon from Sompo.
Mr Reid will be based in London, and will report to Mr Tomas Novotny, EMEA CEO and International Chairman for Reinsurance, and Mr Nick Fraccalvieri, as part of the global facultative leadership team.
He assumes the role from Mr Fraccalvieri, who led facultative in EMEA for three years, and was named Global CEO of Facultative Reinsurance for Aon in March.
