MS Amlin has appointed Ms Kirsten Mitchell-Wallace as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Mr Philip Young as Chief Information Officer (CIO). Both appointments are subject to regulatory approval.
Ms Mitchell-Wallace and Mr Young will join the company’s executive leadership team.
Ms Mitchell-Wallace brings deep market and board-level risk experience, having previously held senior roles at OAK Global, Lloyd’s of London and SCOR. Her expertise spans risk appetite, capital and exposure management and regulatory engagement.
She will assume the CRO role and responsibilities following a formal handover from current CRO, Mr Vishal Desai, who is moving into a new role within parent company MSIG, as International Chief Risk Officer as part of its new International Executive Committee.
Mr Young will join MS Amlin in 3Q2026. He will bring to the CIO role extensive technology and transformation expertise from senior roles at Virgin Group, Amazon Web Services and Transport for London, having successfully led large-scale platform, data and digital change programmes.
