Egypt:Fawry partners with talabat to offer medical insurance to delivery riders

| 13 Jan 2026

FinTech company Fawry has signed a strategic partnership agreement with talabat Egypt, an e-commerce platform that operates across MENA.

Under the partnership, comprehensive medical insurance will be provided to more than 800 top-performing delivery riders, said Fawry in a statement.

The coverage is offered through Fawry Insurance Brokerage in collaboration with GIG Egypt. The product was launched after Fawry distributed more than 700,000 digital insurance policies through its brokerage arm.

Fawry said that its partnership with talabat sets new standards for rider welfare in Egypt’s rapidly growing delivery sector.

Founded in 2008, Fawry’s primary services include enabling electronic bill payments and mobile top-ups.
