HDI Global has appointed:
- Mr Nikita Tikhonov as head of marine global risk
- Mr Nils Langrehr as head of power underwriting for its cross-division Energy and Power Unit, a newly created role
- Dr Pascal Nef as head of technical and strategic services – long tail
In his new role, Mr Tikhonov will oversee a team of five professionals working on HDI Global’s value proposition in marine. He brings strong expertise, energy and a fresh perspective to the role, according to Dr Carsten Schulte, head of marine underwriting.
Mr Tikhonov succeeds Mr Felix Cassau, who has chosen to take on new challenges at Hannover Re.
Mr Langrehr is a proficient expert with extensive international experience, with deep expertise in renewable energies as well as the conventional energy sector. He brings a nearly 14-year career at Hannover Re, where he most recently served as a key contact in the London Market and for US brokers.
Dr Nef brings over ten years of experience in analytics within corporate insurance. Prior to his new role, he worked with Swiss Re, where he most recently led the risk consulting and analytics team for the EMEA region.
Dr Nef takes over from Mr Dennis Siebrasse, who has been appointed head of liability underwriting Europe.
HDI Global has also announced that Ms Stephanie Bode will assume an expanded responsibility for the corporate and specialty lines department within Talanx Group Reinsurance, in addition to her new role as head of reinsurance at HDI Global.
In her new role, Ms Bode and her teams will negotiate the terms for HDI Global in reinsurance purchasing, according to Dr Stefan Pasternak, CFO of HDI Global.
Ms Bode succeeds Mr Rainer Fischer as head of reinsurance at HDI Global. Mr Fischer has decided to retire, but will remain with the company in an advisory capacity.
In Talanx Group Reinsurance, Ms Bode takes over from Ms Antje Pfitzner, who has moved to the role of head of group reinsurance retail and group protection and counter party risk management.
Prior to her new role, Ms Bode oversaw market management for Continental Europe (excluding Germany), South Africa and Japan at HDI Global.
HDI Global has appointed to its ESG risk solutions division:
- Mr Chris Strong as head of ESG risk solutions
- Ms Thordis Jensen as head of ESG risk solutions international
These new appointments will enable HDI Global to roll out its pioneering ESG product on an international scale.
In his new role, Mr Strong will be responsible for the global management of the newly established ESG risk solutions line of business, as well as oversee the worldwide portfolio.
Mr Strong has more than 20 years’ experience in environmental liability, both in underwriting and in broking. He joins from WTW, where he most recently held the position of environmental practice leader.
In her new role, Ms Jensen will assume responsibility for all markets outside Europe, bringing expertise from her previous role as senior broker at AON. She has a background in sustainable finance, with extensive experience from both insurance broking and underwriting.
