Mr Achim Bosch has taken over the position of CEO of Deutsche Rückversicherung (Deutsche Rück). The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Rück appointed him CEO on 18 November 2024. Mr Bosch joined Deutsche Rück in 2019 and has been a member of the Board of Executive Directors since.
Executive Board member Ms Caren Büning will also take on the role of CUO. Life reinsurance and capital investment will continue to be the responsibility of Executive Board member Mr Michael Rohde as CFO.
Mr Bosch will take over as chairman of the Executive Management of Deutsche Rück’s subsidiary, DR Swiss, as well. Ms Büning will also join the company's Executive Management as CUO. In addition, the company has appointed Dr Stefan Ostermeier as CFO.
Mr Bosch studied statistics at the University of Dortmund, and began his professional career at Concordia Versicherung in Hanover. He continued his career at General Reinsurance, where he was appointed to the Executive Board in 2008.
