According to preliminary figures the Insurance Association of Turkey (TSB) has published of total gross written insurance premiums collected, there has been a 72.5% increase, from TRY468tn ($13.6bn) in December 2023 to TRY838.5tn in December 2024.
Of this total, non-life insurance premiums grew by 72%, from TRY429.3tn in December 2023, to TRY738.6bn in December 2024. The non-life business accounted for 88.3% of the market share.
Life insurance premiums rose from TRY56.7bn in December 2023 to TRY99.9bn in December 2024, an increase of 76.2%. The life business accounted for 11.7% of the market share.
