Türk Reasürans has appointed Mr Özgür Bülent Koç as general manager, according to news platform Sigortaci.
In his new role, Mr Koç aims to develop the company’s sustainable growth strategy and increase its effectiveness in international reinsurance markets, the platform said. It also noted that he plans to strengthen Türk Reasürans’ contributions to the sector and national economy through its subsidiaries Türk Katilim Reasürans and T-Rupt Teknoloji, as well as the Natural Disaster Insurance Pool, for which he assumes technical operations, and the Special Risks Management Centre.
Mr Koç has held various senior positions in the (re)insurance segments both domestically and internationally throughout his 29-year career and is fluent in English, according to Sigortaci. The article also stated that he takes over from Ms Selva Eren, who served as general manager of Türk Reasürans since its establishment.
