The fierce competition whipped up around this year's Middle East Insurance Industry Awards has resulted in a list of finalists comprising a total of 55 insurers, brokers, risk managers, service providers and industry leaders.
Each is vying to come top in their category in the 11th iteration of these industry-leading awards for 2024.
The competition this year drew 145 entries from across the region hoping to win the top honours in 19 categories. The finalists were shortlisted by a panel of 20 judges – comprising CEOs, senior executives, association heads, and industry experts – through a remote judging process.
Now in their 11th year, the Awards recognise and celebrate the accomplishments of individuals and companies in the insurance sector across the MENA region. The Awards aim to boost standards and promote greater professionalism in the market. The award process offers utmost transparency, with clearly defined criteria and judging requirements.
In the first stage, judges arrived at a list of finalists by going through the entries based on a 1,200-word write-up. The final judging round will take place on 19 September where the judges will discuss the shortlist in detail to select the winners by secret ballot. The entire process is audited by EY.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 27 November 2024 at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
