Petro Ivoire, one of the leaders in the distribution of petroleum products in Côte d'Ivoire has announced that it had formed a strategic partnership with Leadway Assurance Côte d'Ivoire (Leadway CI).
Under an agreement signed by the two sides, Leadway is to offer on-site motor insurance through Petro Ivoire’s network of service stations.
Mr Coulibaly Tiornan, the general manager of Leadway CI, told the news site Abidjan.net, “At the service station, you will have a QR code to scan and a copy of your registration document. Then you enter the data and we will send you the information on the premium to pay. The user chooses the types of coverage he wants, pays, and receives his insurance certificate immediately."
He added, "We thought it would be interesting to have this in a gas station because that is where all motorists pass. We chose Petro Ivoire because of its agility and its spirit of innovation."
In turn, Mr Sébastien Kadio-Morokro, the general manager of Petro Ivoire, said that beyond the additional revenue that this agreement will bring to his company, it will allow customers to have a maximum of services in service stations.
Petro Ivoire says that it continues to expand its services by adding motor insurance.
Leadway CI, a subsidiary of Nigeria’s Leadway Assurance Company, is the first 100% digital insurance company in Côte d'Ivoire.
