The Tunisian Federation of Insurance Companies (FTUSA), in its latest digitalisation move, requires applications for a listing in the register of insurance experts and claims adjusters to be lodged online. The requirement took effect on 1 September.
The FTUSA clarified that no paper applications will be accepted for registration, reported The Tunisian Press, quoting a statement from the federation. The application procedure is now strictly limited to the online form available on the federation's official website.
The FTUSA currently has nearly 1,500 registered experts and claims adjusters, operating in various specialties such as automotive or fire.
In recent years, the federation has digitised key parts of the Tunisian automotive insurance ecosystem. It has launched the E-Constat app, which is a mobile application deployed to replace traditional paper accident reports with a digital alternative.
The federation also utilises a structured digital vehicle pricing platform to dynamically track and establish standardised baseline selling prices for new and used cars across the country.
The FTUSA has developed as well a centralised database in collaboration with the General Insurance Committee (CGA). The database is a repository of comprehensive data on individual and corporate policyholders alongside detailed vehicle records. The platform applies artificial intelligence and machine learning to large-scale datasets. This enables insurers to build granular risk profiles, detect high-risk drivers and loss-prone vehicles, and ultimately price premiums more accurately and fairly. The objective is to enhance risk monitoring and management and combat fraud.
