Organisers of the 35th General Conference of the General Arab Insurance Federation have launched a mobile application for the event to help participants plan their attendance, arrange business meetings and follow Conference updates.
The Jordan Insurance Federation will host the Conference, in partnership with the General Arab Insurance Federation, at the Dead Sea on 4-7 October 2026.
The GAIF2026 app gives participants access to the Conference programme, session schedules, speaker profiles and information about participating organisations, partners and sponsors. It also provides real-time announcements and allows users to synchronise conference appointments with their mobile calendars.
A key feature is the Meeting Hub, which enables participants to identify potential business contacts, send meeting requests and manage their schedules before arriving at the Dead Sea. Users can accept, decline or reschedule invitations and receive notifications and reminders.
Messaging features will remain available before, during and after the event, allowing professional discussions and contacts to continue beyond the conference.
The app also allows users to manage their registration details, personal profiles and QR codes, as well as participate in surveys and submit feedback.
Around 2,000 senior executives, policymakers, regulators, experts and representatives of international insurance and reinsurance companies are expected to attend the Conference, which has the theme “Back to Principles”. They hail from 44 countries, including 21 Arab and 23 non-Arab countries, placing the event among the region’s largest specialised insurance gatherings.
The three-day professional programme will feature five main sessions examining the challenges reshaping the insurance industry, from digital transformation and emerging risks to artificial intelligence and new risk-transfer instruments.
Discussions will explore how the industry can preserve its core principles while adapting to digitalisation, as well as approaches to modelling and underwriting emerging risks. Speakers will also address the role of parametric insurance in responding to catastrophes. Other sessions will focus on the use of actuarial expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning, in addition to catastrophe bonds, alternative capital and other modern risk-transfer tools.
GAIF2026 is available on the App Store and Google Play. GAIF2026 organisers encourage participants to download the app early, complete their profiles and arrange meetings ahead of the Conference.
