The news that a Memorandum of Understanding on a peace deal has been signed between the US and Iran could be a positive step toward easing geopolitical tensions in the region.
Speaking with Middle East Insurance Review, MNK International DIFC Chairman Mario Nahas said, “For the (re)insurance and sector, this could translate into improved risk sentiment, increased capacity and more balanced pricing dynamics, particularly across lines such as energy, marine, aviation and political risk.”
Mr Nahas hopes that more stability would “encourage renewed investment flows and facilitate broader market participation over time”.
“That said, uncertainty around implementation, sanctions and evolving risk dynamics will remain in the weeks and months ahead,” he said.
