The project also contributes to improving patients' treatment processes by promoting effective insurance coverage and the rational use of medications. The guide includes details on the Essential Benefit Package under the mandatory health insurance scheme for private sector employees,
The guide is updated periodically to ensure the inclusion of safe and effective medications based on the latest scientific evidence. This enhances the standardisation of pharmaceutical practices in the private sector and contributes to reducing medication costs within the healthcare system.
In addition, the Medical Devices Assurance Guide project aims to develop a comprehensive regulatory framework in line with international best practices, ensuring the optimal use of medical devices and reducing potential risks. The project focuses on regulating medical justifications for medical devices, including insurance coverage for devices within the basic medical benefits package. It aims to standardise practices prescribing the use of medical devices while promoting equitable and affordable access to healthcare services and adhering to international healthcare standards.
