Egypt: Senate considers debate on insurance competitiveness

The Egyptian Senate reviewed a general debate request from member of parliament Mohamed El-Manzalawi and more than 20 other members on government policies to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the insurance sector, according to news site Amwal Al Ghad.

The article stated that the discussion “focused on the digitisation of non-banking financial transactions and accelerating digital transformation to strengthen financial inclusion in the non-banking financial sector”.

The Senate has referred the matter to the Committee of Economic and Financial Affairs for report preparation and further study, the article said. M
