Morocco: Cyber emerges as top risk for operating businesses

Cyber threats have emerged as the primary concern for businesses operating in Morocco, according to a recent survey conducted by Allianz.
The survey indicated a significant indicates a significant surge in cyber-related anxieties among Moroccan enterprises.
Almost 60% of Moroccan companies identified cyber attacks as one of the most critical threats they face, marking a substantial increase from the 29% recorded in the previous year’s survey.
This dramatic rise shows the growing apprehension among Morocco’s business community regarding the escalating risks posed by cybercriminals.
While cyber threats dominated the concerns of Moroccan businesses, natural catastrophes ranked second on the list.
Some 46% of respondents said they were concerned about the potential impact of natural disasters, while 17% said climate change was a major worry.
Of the surveyed companies, 23% said they were worried about the potential effects of emerging technologies, particularly AI and 12% cited reputational damage as a significant risk.
The study revealed that cyber incidents, business interruption, and Nat CATs are the top three risks faced by businesses worldwide. M
