With the emergence of a mobile, flexible workforce in a globalised economy and the demographic shift as baby boomers head toward retirement, there is a real challenge for employers to build benefits packages for today’s employees. This event will draw employers, HR managers, insurers and brokers into the employee benefits dialogue to find lasting solutions for future generations.
Asia Nat CAT and Climate Change Conference 2021
5–6 October
Over the past few years, billions were paid out in Nat CAT losses. Despite hi-tech gadgets, even risk modelling is growing more complex. Future risks can no longer be calculated based on past events. In Asia, this is even more compelling given the spate of devastating events over the past few years.
This two-day conference will take a long hard look at the role of insurance in managing Nat CAT as well as the critical issues related to climate change, regulatory challenges and the role of governments, underwriting strategies and risk assessment through more sophisticated CAT-modelling tools.
Singapore International Reinsurance Conference
Theme: ‘The Art of Dissent – Reinsurance Reality Check’
15–18 November
The Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC) was launched in 1991 to provide insurance professionals a forum to meet and discuss issues of the day, while taking stock of developments in the reinsurance market; and starting preparations for the following year’s treaty renewals.
Over the years, the SIRC has gained a strong reputation and loyal following, with reinsurers, insurers and reinsurance brokers from all over the world attending and conducting bilateral discussions alongside the main conference, which has attracted close to 1,000 registered delegates from around the world since 2017 when the conference was organised annually.
