A Time to Shine

The search for stars with a rigorous process is tough in the Middle East where most only take part if they are guaranteed a win. Yet everyone wants an Awards process that is independent and beyond reproach. This is what we offer: an Awards process that is unique, distinctive and scrupulously unbeatable in terms of integrity and professionalism.

The MIIA has been hailed as the Awards of all Awards as our process is transparent, the criteria and categories are clearly defined and the Jury is drawn from a distinguished panel of leaders from the industry domestically, regionally and internationally. Plus the results are independently audited.

So for this 4th Middle East Insurance Industry Awards, I want to start by saluting all those who dare to take part in the process. It is a first big step as it shows your selfconfidence that you are ready to take the first step of being ranked vis-à-vis your fellow competitors. Secondly it shows that you know you are doing something different that is leading the market and worthy of being recognised as such. Thirdly, it shows your courage to be pitted against companies in the region without any guarantees as no awards can be bought. So congratulations to all the past candidates!

I look forward to receiving a better cross section of contestants with the reassurance that the playing field is very level and fair.

The tough times will see greater creativity in the market for better or for worse and with greater cost cuts, we can see more ingenuity too. I hope to see a great pool of candidates as the Awards with its credibility goes a long way in your marketing drive to boost business.

I heartily invite all of you to take part if you have a story to tell and remember selfnominations is the norm in the corporate world though it might be seen as a bashful act in private life. Be proud to show that you know you are doing “Good” and send in your nominations addressing the criteria set.

I take this opportunity to salute and thank the esteemed panel of 16 expert Judges as it is on their collective shoulders that the weight of the Award is projected forth. I thank the sponsors who have kept their faith with us too as the Awards is going all out to promote excellence in the industry.

The Grand Gala Awards Presentation Dinner to salute the winners will be held on 22 November in Dubai in conjunction with the ME Insurance CEO Agenda. I believe the best is yet to be. Let the search for Stars begin with you.
