Gulf General Cooperative Insurance Company has announced the appointment of Mr Mazen Hani Altamimi as its chairman and Mr Taher Mohammed Omar Agueel as vice chairman, according to a statement lodged by the insurer with the Saudi Exchange.
Both appointments are for three-year terms that began on 16 May 2025 and will end on 15 May 2028. The country’s regulator, the Insurance Authority (IA), approved the appointments on 22 June.
The company has also announced that it had appointed Mr Anuj Agarwal as CEO wef 16 June 2025. The IA approved the appointment on 7 May 2025.
Mr Agarwal brings over 30 years of experience, of which he spent 24 years with Allianz Group. He also has an extensive background as CFO. He holds a master in management studies with specialisation in finance, as well as a bachelor of engineering with specialisation in electronics and communications.
