The Minister of Economy and Finance, Ms Nadia Fettah, has announced the insurance industry was developing an insurance offering against cyber risks.
She revealed this on 16 April at the opening of the Rendezvous de Casablanca, whose theme was 'New Technologies and AI: What Opportunities for Insurance?'.
“We must anticipate the needs of businesses, institutions and citizens in the face of a threat that continues to grow, and is even proven,” local media reports quoted Ms Fettah who spoke at the Rendezvous.
Earlier this month, Morocco faced cyber attacks on several organisations including the National Social Security Fund and the Ministry of Economic Integration, Small Enterprise, Employment and Skills.
