Dubai-based Global Association of InsurTech Professionals (GAIP), an international non-profit professional body, has revealed its plans and initiatives to foster innovation and accelerate InsurTech adoption worldwide.
GAIP highlighted major announcements arising from its first official board meeting that discussed key topics concerning GAIP’s global expansion, new industry initiatives, and preparations for the upcoming GAIP-InsureTek 2025 International Conference in Dubai.
The plans and initiatives unveiled include:
1. Launching a InsurTech Venture & Incubation Fund
The Fund will be used to foster technological advancements and support early-stage startups, in collaboration with academic institutions, industry leaders, and government bodies.
2. Launching GAIP TV, the first-ever 24/7 digital channel dedicated exclusively to InsurTech
The channel will provide real-time industry insights, broadcast expert panel discussions, provide live coverage of global InsurTech events, and conduct exclusive interviews with industry pioneers. This platform aims to keep industry professionals informed and engaged with the latest news and advances in InsurTech, AI, blockchain, risk management, and regulatory developments.
3. Staging the event, GAIP-InsureTek 2025, on 16-17 April in Dubai
GAIP-InsureTek 2025 will serve as a premier platform for InsurTech professionals, regulators, investors, and technology leaders. This event, along with the Golden Shield Excellence Awards, will highlight cutting-edge innovations and industry best practices while facilitating high-level discussions on emerging trends, regulatory challenges, and investment opportunities.

4. Partnering with leading universities to provide InsurTech education and certifications
GAIP will sign Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with two prominent universities at GAIP-InsureTek 2025 to launch specialised InsurTech courses and professional certifications. These programmes will focus on: AI & Data Analytics in Insurance; Blockchain & Smart Contracts; Cyber security & Risk Management and Regulatory Frameworks & Compliance
5. Launching the GAIP Quality Assurance Programme
GAIP is committed to establishing industry-wide standards for InsurTech solutions. The programme will develop the best global practices for InsurTech implementation; conduct benchmarking studies on emerging solutions, and provide guidelines for regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
6. Engaging in advocacy & policy development for InsurTech growth
The GAIP board unanimously agreed to take an active role in shaping InsurTech policies, engaging with government authorities, regulators, and industry bodies to advocate policies that promote innovation and consumer protection, address regulatory barriers limiting InsurTech adoption and represent InsurTech professionals in global policy discussions.
7. Undertaking a global membership drive and periodic community engagement
GAIP is launching an aggressive global membership drive, inviting professionals from insurance, reinsurance, technology, and risk management to join its network. Additionally, GAIP will host periodic community engagement events, including: regional conferences & summits, webinars & expert panel discussions, and workshops on InsurTech best practices.
GAIP, which held soft launch ceremonies in Saudi Arabia and India in 2024, aims to become the leading global association for InsurTech professionals, advocating industry collaboration, policy development, and knowledge sharing to create a robust and future-ready insurance ecosystem.
