Zurich General Takaful Indonesia (Zurich Syariah) launched the innovative Sharia Parametric Weather Index Insurance in 2022. Since then, payouts have been made to more than 200 farmers. However, there are several considerations to ensure shariah-compliance and how to reach out to coffee farmers.
