Singapore Fintech Festival (hybrid event)
8–12 November
Organised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) is in its sixth edition and aims to foster an open dialogue between the public and private sector to advance FinTech in the digital economy.
SFF 2021 will take place with a hybrid format, bringing together a digital platform with a flagship event in Singapore as well as a distributed network of World FinTech Festival events in FinTech hubs.
The event will focus on the impact Web 3.0 will have on financial services and the digital economy. Across the three-day programme, SFF 2021 will cover: Embedded finance and decentralised finance; Web 3.0 tech stack; and ESG and investors.
Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (virtual event)
Theme: ‘Reinsurance: Quo Vadis?’
15–18 November
The Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC) was launched in 1991 to provide insurance professionals with a forum to meet and discuss issues of the day while taking stock of developments in the reinsurance market and starting preparations for the following year’s treaty renewals.
Over the years, the SIRC has gained a strong reputation and loyal following, with (re)insurers and reinsurance brokers from all over the world attending and conducting bilateral discussions alongside the main conference. The main conference has attracted close to 1,000 registered delegates since 2017 when the conference was organised annually.
Singapore Actuarial Conference
22–26 November
Organised by the Singapore Actuarial Society which has been promoting the actuarial profession in the country since 1976. Against the backdrop of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for actuaries has never been greater and so the event will look at the steps being taken to expand and strengthen the profession.
RIMS India 2021 (virtual event)
Theme: ‘Applying Resilience: Catalyst to Sustainability’
3-4 December
The two-day virtual event will provide keynote presentations and thought leadership panel discussions led by leading risk professionals from the region. Delegates will find innovative solutions and practical techniques to demonstrate enterprise-wide value for their organisations.
The event will cover these topics: What COVID-19 has taught us about ESG risks and why risk management needs to change; Breaking the chain: How understanding business interruption exposures can mean supply chain resilience; Marsh-RIMS excellence in risk management: State of risk management in India 2021; Climate risk and your path to resilience; and Cyber risk management: A priority for a resilient economy.
India Rendezvous 2022 (virtual event)
19-21 January 2022
The India Rendezvous has evolved to be a flagship event for the Indian insurance market and Asia Insurance Review’s largest conference will be a virtual event in January 2022.
Co-organised with GIC Re, the rendezvous will look at making insurance more ubiquitous in India and how companies are coping with increased cyber exposures as well as the management dynamics needed to cope with the increasing occurrences of Nat CAT events across the region.
