Due to increases in reinsurance premiums and tightening markets attributed to Nat CAT losses in the US, insurers in the Middle East are reassessing programmes and diversifying portfolios. These include reinforcing partnerships with regional reinsurers and exploring alternative risk transfer solutions such as CAT bonds and Nat CAT pools.
